Ama Kiwi is a website that has been created to "bring South Africans together" in New Zealand. Ama Kiwi is not a immigration service site. This is a fun and interesting site that brings back the culture and feeling of good old SA, where "just now" means later on and where wood and blits is used for the bbq - sorry man, I mean braai.

Hi, My name is Wayne Johnson. After completing my studies in graphic design and photography in East London (Slummies), touring Europe for a year and working, I decided to follow my parents footsteps to New Zealand. Been here now for 8 years and loving it. Married and have started a family here. I still miss the SA weather, African culture and that typical braai vleis smell around the pool. I am a South African Kiwi now - Ama Kiwi.

Hi, My name is Vanessa Glad. I grew up in a little town called Meyerton, about 60km south of the Jo'burg. At the end of 2004, my childhood sweetheart boertjie came back to SA, put me in a bag, and shipped me to NZ with him. It took about 2 years for me to finally call NZ home, but now I would not turn back. Hearing Afrikaans almost everywhere you go, how can one not feel at home in this land of the long white cloud? I am South African, but also Kiwi... I am Ama Kiwi.
